Debug builds can be found in: https://github.com/z-huang/InnerTune/pull/1582 (ATM)

These can be used to track how translation are and how they look. You'll need a GitHub account, from there, you can go into the checks for that pull request, on the Build PR action, and under Upload APK, you can download it. These will be a separate app from the regular InnerTune app, they are not "trustworthy" builds and are built by GitHub. Do not log in, they're safe otherwise. Beware these can take 24hrs to apply, sometimes they get automatically updated if a component is fully translated. If you want a quicker response, you can tag @lucasmz-dev and if I notice it in time, I'll push it manually so you can check it out.

Thanks for your guys' help translating InnerTune! You rock!

If you aren't sure how to translate something, try checking the nearby strings. If the next string for example is explaining something about the string you're trying to translate, most likely you're translating a toggle, a setting menu button, and that description can be used for better wording on the other string, of course, if it makes sense. If you aren't sure, keep "Need for editing" on.

Instructions for translators

Hello! Thank you for helping translate InnerTune and making it accessible for more people!

Recommendations:

  • If you do not use InnerTune, getting the app from F-Droid and having a quick look around to try and understand how the strings are put into context can help massively.

  • Try to also look into all strings to see if you see anything weird, you don't need to necessarily go in a deep-dive here.

  • Don't be too formal, or informal, try to match what apps like YouTube Music and Spotify do.

  • You do not need to translate changelogs inside Fastlane.

Can I ask if this language is intended? It's a variant and there's usually a reason for them, but in this case I've never seen this on other projects and people seem to randomly stop translating this. Can anyone who has done this let me know? It might be better to just add the strings here as suggestions to the main Spanish variant and delete this to reduce confusion. I haven't even tested if this works properly in Android to be honest.
