To all who contributed to the translations, I sincerely want to thank you for your support, time and effort.

Since about a year I stopped active development of jExifToolGUI and also lost all interest in "special" photography like animal, bird and panorama photography. I sold all my equipment and got myself an expensive smartphone with good main lens, ultrawide and 3x tele which fits my needs on hikes/walks, travels and holidays, but doesn't require any progam other than Google Photos (for example). Last months not so serious but annoying and "not going away" health issues, also made me focus on things I now consider more important.

I know some newer translators put quite some time and effort in adding new translations, or just started a new translation. I really, really apologize to you for your work not being implemented in a new version.

If someone wants to take over, please let me know and I give full access to the repository. It is 100% open source anyway. Or you simply fork it and continue it in your own way.

<big>The meaning of the checkboxes</big><hr><br><ul><li>Create previews (default checked): This creates a thumbnail. (Slows down the loading of images.) JPG/RAW/TIF images from a modern camera have an embedded preview. (Loads relatively fast.) Scanned or older images might not have these embedded previews. Creating the preview will take longer than simply retrieving it. With more than 20~50 images it might get too slow for you.</li><li>Load metadata (default unchecked):<ul><li>Checked: For every image all metadata is loaded in the foreground. This slows down loading but gives you immedately a basic view to some important general metadata.</li><li>UnChecked: This will load all metadata in the background. This speeds up loading the images considerably, but the "Compare Images" and "Search Metadata" buttons will only get enabled after the background process is ready.</li></ul>The metadata is loaded anyway to enable the searching in metadata.</ul><br>Disabling both options only displays filenames, with a small preview in the bottom left for the first loaded image. What is the correct writing for selecting the Chine language from the dropdown? "zh_CN - 简体中文" I uploaded a jar to mega.nz You can try it on any platform with "java -jar jExifToolGUI.jar", but in this you need to have java V11 or newer installed.

@kingu : Is there another way to contact a translator?
