The app determines location using cellular network (BTS), Wi-Fi, and if those fail; GPS to show local weather, in turn getting the coordinates from the Mozilla location service. The application needs at least: one base station of GSM network or two reachable wifi networks or any combination of GSM and Wi-Fi networks. Using the widget on your phone or tablet, you can see your location and current weather on the main screen. Location updates can be periodic, (ex. hourly) or the app can use the accelerometer to detect movement of greater distance than a value. Carried in your pocket, the distance increases faster. You can switch location updates off - only weather is then updated. The app updates location and weather in specified intervals. You can for example set update period to one hour o'clock. The weather is updated immediately after location is, or when the screen is turned on - but not more often then once per 15 minutes (and when weather is not updated in the last 15 minutes). These information are used to get location coordinates by Mozilla location service. The app tries to use GPS when location is not available from cell network and Wi-Fi networks. Location coordinates are used to get address by Nominatim service. The address is used in the app or widget. The app uses Open-Meteo (https://open-meteo.com) service to get current weather.
L'appli détermine votre emplacement grâce aux réseaux cellulaire (BTS), Wi-Fi et en cas d'échec du GPS pour afficher votre météo locale, elle récupère les coordonnées par le service de localisation de Mozilla. L'application ncessite au moins : une station de base du réseau GSM ou deux réseaux wifi accessibles ou toute combinaison de réseaux GSM et WIFI. Avec le paramètre sur votre téléphone ou votre tablette, vous pouvez voir votre localisation et votre météo actuelle sur l'écran d'accueil. Les mises à jour de la localisation peuvent être périodique (ex. une fois par heure) ou l'appli peut utiliser l'accéléromètre pour détecter des mouvements d'une distance plus grande qu'une valeur définie (ex. 1 km). Dans votre poche, la distance augmente plus vite. Vous pouvez désactiver la mise à jour de la localisation — seul la météo est mise à jour. L'appli met à jour la localisation et la météo à des intervalles spécifiés. Vous pouvez par exemple paramétrer la mise à jour tous les jours à 13h00. La météo est mise à jour immédiatement après la localisation ou lorsque l'écran est allumé — mais pas plus d'une fois toutes les 15 minutes (et lorsque la météo n'a pas été mise à jour lors des 15 dernières minutes). Ces informations sont utilisées pour récupérer les coordonnées de votre emplacement par le service de localisation de Mozilla. L'application essaie d'utiliser le GPS lorsque la localisation n'est pas disponible depuis les réseaux cellulaire et Wi-Fi. Les coordonnées de votre emplacement sont utilisées pour récupérer l'adresse avec le service Nominatim. L'adresse est utilisée dans l'appli ou le widget. L'appli utilise le service Open-Meteo (https://open-meteo.com) pour récupérer la météo actuelle.

<b>Update period for location (Location 0)</b> - you can set update period for location 0 - location 0 has the ability to update location according to cell-, Wi-Fi networks and GPS. When you select update <i>By accelerometer</i> the app uses that to detect movement. From this, distance is calculated. When the distance limit is reached, and no update has happened in 15 minutes, the location and current weather is updated.
