The app determines location using cellular network (BTS), Wi-Fi, and if those fail; GPS to show local weather, in turn getting the coordinates from the Mozilla location service. The application needs at least: one base station of GSM network or two reachable wifi networks or any combination of GSM and Wi-Fi networks. Using the widget on your phone or tablet, you can see your location and current weather on the main screen. Location updates can be periodic, (ex. hourly) or the app can use the accelerometer to detect movement of greater distance than a value. Carried in your pocket, the distance increases faster. You can switch location updates off - only weather is then updated. The app updates location and weather in specified intervals. You can for example set update period to one hour o'clock. The weather is updated immediately after location is, or when the screen is turned on - but not more often then once per 15 minutes (and when weather is not updated in the last 15 minutes). These information are used to get location coordinates by Mozilla location service. The app tries to use GPS when location is not available from cell network and Wi-Fi networks. Location coordinates are used to get address by Nominatim service. The address is used in the app or widget. The app uses Open-Meteo (https://open-meteo.com) service to get current weather.
L'applicazione determina la posizione utilizzando la rete cellulare (BTS), il Wi-Fi e, se quelli falliscono, il GPS per mostrare il meteo locale, utilizzando le coordinate del servizio di localizzazione di Mozilla. L'app ha bisogno minimo di una cella di rete GSM o due reti wifi raggiungibili o qualunque combinazioni di reti GSM e Wi-Fi. Usando il widget sul telefono o tablet, è possibile vedere la posizione e il meteo corrente sulla schermata principale. Gli aggiornamenti della posizione possono essere periodici (ad esempio ogni ora) o l'applicazione può utilizzare l'accelerometro per rilevare il movimento di una distanza maggiore rispetto a un determinato valore. Portato in tasca, la distanza aumenta più velocemente. E' possibile disattivare gli aggiornamenti della posizione, in questo caso verrà aggiornato solo il meteo. L'applicazione aggiorna la posizione e il meteo a intervalli specifici. Ad esempio, è possibile impostare l'intervallo di aggiornamento ad un'ora precisa. Il meteo viene aggiornato immediatamente dopo la posizione o quando lo schermo è acceso, ma non più spesso di una volta ogni 15 minuti (e quando il meteo non viene aggiornato negli ultimi 15 minuti). Queste informazioni vengono utilizzate per ottenere le coordinate della posizione tramite il servizio di localizzazione di Mozilla. L'applicazione tenta di utilizzare il GPS quando la posizione non è disponibile dalla rete cellulare e dalle reti Wi-Fi. Le coordinate di posizione vengono utilizzate per ottenere l'indirizzo dal servizio Nominatim. L'indirizzo viene utilizzato nell'applicazione o nei widget. This app has voice guidance by way of text translations and voice commands courtesy of volunteers at https://hosted.weblate.org/projects/your-local-weather. The app dev cannot guarantee they are correct - you accept this by using the app. To use it you need TTS (Text-to-speech) installed and guidance turned on in the settings, where you can set your own voice commands.
